Norwegian snowboard queen Silje Norendal (27) has competed in her last competition. She is now expecting a child with ice hockey player Alexander Bonsaksen (33).
– I’m pregnant. It comes towards the summer, confirms Silje Norendal with a view to the birth of VG.
Silje Norendal suffered a broken leg and ankle during the warm-up for the slopestyle semifinal at the US Open in Vail in February.
After being bitten by surgery in the US, complications gradually arose where screws and “plates” had been inserted into her leg.
The fractures would not heal properly. This summer, they took most of this away from him, hoping the mounting pain would go away.
– It’s been more than five months with pain all the time, when I just go and do everyday things, like going to the store and having to carry a shopping bag home, she told VG in July six months ago.

Silje Norendal and Alexander Bonsaksen have been lovers for many years. After getting engaged, they planned a wedding in Tuscany last summer. Veteran defender of the national ice hockey team, Alexander Bonsaksen, plays for KooKoo of the Finnish first division, where he is captain. His current contract expires after the 2021/22 season.
– It’s a bit exciting. We will see what happens and where we will settle next year. For me, it will be a whole new life. I don’t know what I’m going to do. But I don’t want to give up snowboarding and winter sports. I will be involved in the national team with the commitment of the girls, says Silje Norendal.
