On Monday this week, contestant Siri Kristiansen (42) was able to reveal on the Instagram story feature that her dance partner, Tarjei Svalastog (22), was out for the count. She said that at the time he was lying in the hotel room and vomiting.
“I hope he recovers quickly so he can come back and be my chosen crab on the floor,” he said, and probably referred to his next dance routine.
Affected by the disease
Thomas Alsgaard (48) also confirmed on his Instagram that his dance partner, Rikke Lund (24), had fallen ill.
To Dagbladet, TV 2 press director Jan-Petter Dahl confirmed on Tuesday that there had been an illness among the participants in “Skal vi danse”.
– We can confirm that some actors in the “Bailamos” camp have been knocked out due to stomach-related symptoms. Those involved have been sent home after the training and are being closely monitored by the production as well as health professionals who are associated with the production, the press officer said.
In addition, he said they were in the process of mapping what could be the cause of the disease and at the same time confirmed that new tests had been done for Covid-19, to be sure.
– The situation obviously has consequences for the amount of dance training of those affected. We are working to make the consequences of this as small as possible, Dahl continued.

Sicker
On Tuesday afternoon, however, “Skal vi danse” contestant Andreas Wahl (37) shared a video on Instagram where it was revealed that his dance partner, Mai Mentzoni, had also fallen ill.
Yesterday, therefore, it was not clear what would happen if those who were sick could not attend the broadcast on Saturday, but it is usually the alternates who intervene.
Now, however, it remains to be seen how TV 2 will resolve Saturday’s “Skal vi danse” broadcast. Report TV 2.
According to the channel, Youtuberen-Agnete Husebye’s dance partner (24), Bjørn Wettre Holthe (39), was also ill on Tuesday, but is still feeling better today. So does Wahl’s dance partner Mai Mentzoni.
Radio host Michael Andreassen (47) was also ill on Monday, but dance partner Ewa Trela, on the other hand, remained healthy. Birgit Skarstein (31) was also ill on Monday, while dance partner Philip Raabe (20) escaped.
That’s why he says “Shall we dance”?
This means that up to six out of eight couples on TV 2 are affected by illness. Thus, only Nate Kahungu (24) and Helene Spilling (24), and Marte Bratberg (31) and Benjamin Jayakoddy are healthy.
– Without changes
Jan-Petter Dahl, press manager for TV 2, explains to Dagbladet that they are very happy that everyone who has been ill is getting better.
– Of course, arrangements are made so that those who have lost valuable training time have the opportunity to regain some of what they lost, he explains, adding:
– We have not planned any changes to the broadcast of “Skal vi danse” on Saturday as a result of this.
In addition, Dahl explains that they have no conclusions as to what the source of the disease is, but that, in consultation with infection control consultants, they have taken all necessary steps to combat it.
– Among other things, sending the sick home for 48 hours and washing the dance center where Skal vi danse participants train. There have been no new cases of illness since Monday. We are waiting for answers to the Covid-19 tests, he adds.
However, according to TV 2, Andreassen and Ewa are back at the dance center today. The same is Husebye and Wettre Holthe and Skarstein and Raabe. However, Rikke Lund and Tarjei Svalastog will have to wait until tomorrow morning.
