Wednesday night will be wet and windy in western Norway.
– It is a low pressure rake that is happening to us right now and that is throwing all this rain on us, says meteorologist Eli Kari Gjengedal.
There is a yellow flood warning for much of Vestland County. Police are now calling everyone affected by the storm.
– If you don’t have to drive tonight, stay in the house, have fun with a TV and a box of soda. The emergency services, the municipality and the transit center have a lot to do, we need as little traffic as possible on this line, the police write on twitter.
– The waters flow “in the opposite direction”
Police report floods and large bodies of water in various places. On the street of the sea in Bergen, there has been great flooding on the sidewalks.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute writes that there can be wind gusts of more than 30 meters per second and asks people to secure loose objects.
Several municipalities in western Norway have established crisis management and are preparing for the severe storm that will continue to escalate overnight.
Stops air traffic
Ørsta-Volda Airport is closed to traffic after large amounts of snow caused problems Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Since aircraft landings are not allowed on Wednesday night, Thursday morning departures are also canceled.
A rockslide has closed the Hood Tunnel in Vaksdal Township on the E16 between Bergen and Voss. No one was kidnapped or injured in the landslide.
The usual detour route between Bergen and Voss via Hardanger is also closed due to flooding.
Several roads in western Norway are closed or in danger of being closed due to the storm.
The meteorologist says that it will continue to rain a lot tonight, but that the worst rain will subside overnight.

Also in eastern Norway, a yellow warning was sent out on Wednesday night.
