At least four people have stab wounds, the Washington Post reports for the Naudetata in Washington. According to the AFP news agency, several members of the Proud Boys have been arrested.
Violence broke out between a member of the far-right fascist group Proud Boys and the counter-protesters. It is not clear to which groups the injured and the perpetrators belong.
Washington police arrested at least 23 people in connection with the clashes. Six of them are accused of assaulting the police.
A total of eight people, two of them policemen, were injured, police say.

Also in Washington state of Olympia, violence broke out during a rally in support of Trump.
Police confirm to the Seattle Times that one person was shot in connection with clashes similar to those in the capital. The status of the shoe victim is unknown.
The shooting happened after several hours of shoving. Supporters of the president had gathered with election flags and banners questioning the integrity of the election.
