Sea, Sun | New wave alert with hot air:

[ad_1]

Although September heralds its arrival, the warm air currents ensure the summer temperatures in much of the country until at least next week.

On Tuesday, there will be good weather in almost all of southern Norway, while northern Norway will follow on Wednesday. Hot air from the south is directed north, so it becomes very pleasant and warm in much of the country.

– So the weather changes a bit on Thursday, with warm weather in the north and precipitation for us in the south. This is happening because of a small front running through northern Norway, Meteorological Institute duty officer Siri Wiberg tells Nettavisen.

On the other hand, it has very good news for those who have feared the cold autumn air. Already on Friday, it can quickly be over 20 degrees in some places in eastern Norway.

– So it’s relatively warm air in the south, with westerly winds and drying effect that helps. So Friday can be quite summery for those in Østafjells, says Wiberg.

New wave

The good weather in the south-east, on the other hand, means bad news for western Norway, which from Thursday should expect rain for the next weekend.

– Probably East Norway is the luckiest this week, with the exception of Thursday which looks bad, the meteorologist believes.

Although it is not uncommon for September to reach temperatures of 20 degrees, it is allowed to be quite optimistic for the next period.

– It’s a bit colder air that happens this weekend, but then we have the “Vestavær effect”. It often happens that these hurricanes that are in the US roll north and take their way towards us, affecting our climate. Now it looks like there will be a new wave of hot air starting early next week, says Wiberg.

– Just to enjoy

Therefore, it should not be ignored that the temperature remains at 20 degrees both on Tuesday and Wednesday of the next week.

– A long period of many days with 20 degrees in September; it is quite unusual. At least it promises very well, so enjoy the beginning of autumn, encourages Wiberg.

And while East Norway looks to be the weather winner this time, it bodes well for both Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal on Tuesday and Wednesday.

– Then there will also be summer temperatures there, before the good weather lingers in the south for the weekend, says Wiberg.

According to the meteorologist, Agder is located on the right side of the mountains and has a climate quite similar to the rest of eastern Norway. After Thursday’s rain, however, Southerners are exposed to more clouds than their neighbors to the east.
