The eastern police district reported the incident at 10:47. On Twitter, the police wrote that emergency services were on their way and that they also sent a rescue helicopter from Rygge.
The main rescue center also worked hard to get an overview on Wednesday morning.
– It involves several canoes with a total of 24 people, of which several have capsized. Some people have been taken ashore, some have been picked up on boats and others by helicopter, says rescue leader Eric Willassen, at the Aftenposten Main Rescue Center.
