The municipality of Sandnes calls a contingency meeting on Christmas Day. The municipality has registered ten new infections per corona in the last 24 hours.
The number of infections in the municipality of Sandnes is the highest since November 2, when eleven new cases of contagion were registered.
– We have had many cases in recent days, but at the same time there is relatively good control. Most of the cases belong to specific settings and there are close contacts, Mayor Stanley Wirak (Labor) tells Sandnesposten.
– We are safe from the so-called wild infection, but obviously the municipality wants to be as well informed as possible and, for the sake of the whole situation, we held a meeting on Christmas Day, he continues.
According to the newspaper, the emergency meeting will be held at 08:00 on Saturday morning.
In Stavanger, there have been 36 new cases of infection in the last 24 hours, which is a record during the pandemic. The municipality held an emergency meeting on Christmas Day.
