Swedish pop singer Carola Häggkvist (53) previously accused her ex-husband Runar Sørgaard (53) of killing her cat.
Now he admits to killing the cat.
– I shot that cat, and I was so sorry, says in the Swedish podcast to Bathina Philipson, “Bathina – a podcast”.
Following the allegations, Sørgaard has not denied or confirmed the incident so far.
Aftonbladet was the first to mention the case. Sörgaard will not comment on the case to the newspaper.
– I will release a book on October 26th. Most of it is written there, he says.
On the podcast, he reveals that he will be releasing a book about his life, which will be published this fall. There will be revealed several of the details of her life.
Accused for many years
Häggkvist was with Sörgaard for ten years. One of the things that created the media hype surrounding the couple was when Sörgaard shot a deer through her bedroom window.
In an interview with Metro in 2011, the singer replied that she didn’t think much, as she almost went deaf.
– But it was worse for me when he shot my cat, he didn’t like it very much. It’s been a long time since it happened, and he will be responsible for that, he said at the time.
In many cases, Häggkvist has accused him of shooting his cat.
Convicted
Sørgaard has been in bad weather several times. Last year, he was sentenced to prison for a financial crime involving tax evasion and serious violations of the Accounting Law.
He himself believes that nothing criminal has happened and has appealed the case.
The couple were married for ten years from 1990 to 2000. Together they have a son, Amadeus (22).
He has also been married to Jessica Karlsson. They were married for nine years, before choosing to divorce. Together they have two children.
