Juventus are once again out of the Champions League in the quarterfinals. The Italians won 3-2 at Allianz Stadium, but broke the away goal rule with 4-4 overall.
The decision was made within 115 minutes of the second extra inning. Sérgio Oliveira scored a 30-meter free kick in the 29th minute of the game. The ball passed and finally Wojciech Szczęsny entered the goal.

Adrien Rabiot lit a hope for the home team, but it wasn’t enough. Porto stayed away, expelling the giant team from the Champions League.
Juventus looked brilliant early in the second half when they took a two-goal lead over Porto. Then Portos Mehdi Taremi got his second yellow card by kicking the ball. Despite being just another man for over an hour, Juventus failed to score more goals.
With Andrea Pirlo, Juventus have had everything else in a good season. In Serie A, the reigning league champions are ten points behind Inter, albeit with a match to spare. The future of the manager thus seems to hang by an ever thinner thread.

Juventus punished
Juventus had to chase after the goal after losing 2-1 in Portugal. Within minutes, Álvaro Morata should have led the Italians up front, but Porto defender Agustín Marchesín kept a good save.
The visiting team was also dangerous at the beginning. Mehdi Taremi got a double chance, but first hit the goalkeeper and then the crossbar.
At 16 minutes, Taremi participated again, but this time with better results. The Iranian was smarter in a duel with Merih Demiral, and set a penalty against Porto. Sérgio Oliveira invented Wojciech Szczęsny, and sent the 2004 Champions League winners two goals clear in total.
Intense start to the second half
After the break, the Allianz Stadium caught fire, only three minutes into the game was the draw. A long play was very well canceled by Cristiano Ronaldo, who Federico Chiesa accelerated well placed in the goal.
A few minutes later, a seemingly normal offside situation escalated violently. After referee Björn Kuipers blew the whistle, Portos Mehdi Taremi kicked the ball, presumably to delay time. The forward received his second yellow card as a reward and was sent off unnecessarily.
He gave Juventus extra blood on the teeth and, after 62 minutes, Chiesa reappeared. The Italian put in a center ironed by Juan Cuadrado and put the locals ahead. Therefore, Porto’s advantage was consumed in a relatively short time.
The home team kept running, but Porto stayed away. In extra time, Morata finally hit the net, but the goal was correctly disallowed for offside. There were no more goals in regulation time, and at 3-3 overall, the game progressed to extra innings.
Action in the extra rounds
With one more man on the pitch, it was mostly Juventus, but Porto also had its dangers. Cristiano Ronaldo thinks a hand was used there and is letting the referee know that he thinks so.
But then things started to happen. With five minutes remaining on the clock, Sérgio Oliveira sent Porto back into the driver’s seat. Adrien Rabiot scored shortly after for the home team, but it was not enough. Overall they finished 4-4, but Porto were able to cheer up the advance after scoring several goals away from home.
