Late Thursday night, RB photographer Remi Presttun in Gjerdrum reports that the police have transported a new dog to a vet.
It is later confirmed that it is the missing dog Milli who has been rescued from the landslide.
– The dog is fine, it is in good general condition. I have a good appetite right away. It had no visible damage. He received a fluid treatment and stood up, writes local vet Stefan Feterik in a message to Romerikes Blad.
– Gives hope that more can be found. I am optimistic. It feels great to help, continue.
For Dagbladet, the leader of the police task, Håkon Berg, confirms that the dog was rescued by the avalanche.
– It is a new dog that has recently been found in the landslide area, using a rash in heat. He was raised with SeaKing and met with the right person. We won’t go into any more details, other than that the dog has been handed over to the right person, Berg tells the newspaper.
The home veterinarian Feterik has had a busy day, where he has also been present in Olavsgaard and has helped those of the evacuees who may need it for their pets.
– I’ve been driving up and down all day, but I’m happy to help out with help, says Feterik.
The night before Thursday, a dog was also rescued from the area, the Dalmatian Zajka.
