Romerike police were notified that a major landslide had occurred south of Ask in Gjerdrum just before 4pm on Wednesday night.
– What we know so far is that this is a major landslide. We can confirm that at least one house has been taken over by the avalanche. If there are more houses it is too early to tell, we are working to get an overview, reports assignment manager Kjetil Ringseth in the eastern police district at rb.no 06.
– Is anyone hurt?
– We do not know. We have to get back to that, Ringseth responds.
The landslide is said to have headed directly south of the center of Ask in Gjerdrum. Mainly on the west side of County Highway 120, but according to police it may have crossed the road as well.
– We have a police helicopter and Seaking in the air to get an overview, says Ringseth.
