– It’s an accident between a car and a girl. We don’t yet know the girl’s age, but she is considered seriously injured, says operations manager Finn Håvard Aas in the East Police District.

The accident is said to have occurred along Trondheimsvegen in Jessheim, near Nordbytjernet. Police were notified of the collision at 3:06 p.m.

– The accident occurred in a crosswalk. A car from the north stopped for the girl, but a car came from the south and ran over her, explains the operations manager about the course of events.

– We have not received any comment from Ullevål on how the girl is doing. Family members have been notified, he continues.

At 5.15 pm, the police are still on the scene and conducting investigations.
