Tom Hagen (70) was arrested two weeks ago on suspicion of murder or complicity in the murder of wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who disappeared from the couple’s home in October 2018.
Hagen was released from custody on Friday after the Supreme Court rejected the prosecution’s appeal for a larger prison.

A man in his 30s was arrested Thursday on charges of murder or complicity in the murder. This charge was changed on Saturday to assist in the severe deprivation of liberty and he was released after questioning.
Lawyers Svein Holden and Dag Svensson point to five points in the investigation to which they respond: Implementation of Tom Hagen’s arrest, the basis of the prosecution, the desire to re-arrest Hagen after his release on Friday, the desire for further searches of the house in Lørenskog and the cottage in Kvitfjell and change of opinion of the co-accused.
– In summary, these points make me think. And this certainly provides a basis for raising questions about whether the police are properly managing their means of power, Holden told VG.
Police said Sunday that the Hagen family’s residence in Sloraveien in Lørenskog is still considered the scene of the murder of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen.
Several investigative steps remain, and continued access to housing and other properties is therefore critical to the investigation, prosecutor Haris Hrenovica said in a press release.
Both the house and the cabin are registered with reference to the point of the Penal Code on the so-called parole of third parties.
