Oslo police moved out on Saturday night after a report of fighting, damage and bad temper at Snarøya in Bærum.

– The first message came in around half past nine, and since then we have received an incredible number of messages about noise, fighting and damage. A car must have been attacked and a home window must have been broken, operations manager Vidar Pedersen tells Dagbladet.

Between 200 and 300 people in their teens are gathered at the site.

Just before ten o’clock, the police announced that they had armed themselves as a result of unconfirmed reports of shooting at a car.

– It is said that four young people called a house in the area to seek help. They said they had been tried for robbery and had shot themselves into a nearby car, says Pedersen.

The operations manager claims that the situation is chaotic and confusing at the scene, but emphasizes that several patrols are working to control the situation.

The Dagbladet reporter at the scene says the police stop all buses, as well as pedestrians and cyclists leaving Snarøya.

So far no injuries have been reported.
