Rent the gray climate of the city? It’s great to ski in Nordmarka.

Rain and sleet have made weekdays more gray in the Oslo area, but in Nordmarka it has snowed so much that it is great to ski in many places.

Inform the Ski Federation. And the new owners of Bislingen say the barrier has been opened.

– Now it’s just a matter of finding the skis and seizing the opportunity for pre-Christmas trips in a beautiful, wintry setting, says the general secretary of the Ski Association, Erik Eide, in an email to Aftenposten.

NOTE: The ski association advises against traffic on the water. There is no safe ice anywhere.

40 centimeter

In some parts of the field, there has been up to 40 centimeters of snow.

– The best conditions will be on forest roads and in the safest areas for snow, such as North Nordmarka, Romeriksåsene and Hadelandsåsene, says Eide.

But you can also find good skiing closer to town.

According to the Ski Federation, the weekend will be the best conditions in these areas:

  • North in Nordmarka from Svartbekken, Mylla and Tverrsjøstallen
  • Romeriksåsene from Brovoll and Sêst,
  • Laying in Hadelandsåsene
  • From Frogrsenteren, South Nordmarka

The second best relationship will be here:

  • Vestmarksetra and Solli, Vestmarka,
  • Djupedalsveien from Sollihøgda and the light trail in Ringkollen, Krokskogen
  • Gråseterveien in Sørkedalen, Krokskogen

However, the ski association recommends that you check the pre-registration, for security reasons, before leaving.

– It is still early in the season and there may be slightly different conditions, especially in the areas that are a bit lower. We encourage you to check the pre-registration before embarking on a trip, says Eide.

The way to Bislingen was opened

One of the most popular excursions in northern Nordmarka is the Bislingen mountain lodge. It was in such bad condition that the road was closed. The new owners have demolished the old building. Therefore, they were allowed to open up to traffic.

– It is now safe to travel in Bislingen and there are already fantastic snow conditions, says one of the owners, Paal Mangerud, to Aftenposten.

The Mylla Trail Association prepares the ski slopes in the Mylla and Bislingen area. On Friday night the bikers were out and so everything is ready for a good Saturday skiing.
