The Norwegian Health Directorate will make new recommendations on Sunday for at least two weeks to treat coronary heart disease.
It is not yet clear to what extent the government will follow the recommendations. But NTB is aware that there will be a tightening. The new measures will be presented at a press conference at the Prime Minister’s office in Oslo on Sunday at 6pm.
Will stop pouring
The Norwegian Directorate of Health wants a national ban on the spilling of alcohol, but that otherwise restaurants can remain open.
Management also recommends reducing the number of people in meetings:
- Maximum five people in private meeting.
- A maximum of ten people at an indoor event, still 200 people where everyone in the audience sits in fixed seats.
- A maximum of 200 people at outdoor events, still 600 people where everyone in the audience sits in fixed seats.
- A maximum of ten people on church walks in Christian denominations.
Avoid all travel
The Norwegian Health Directorate also makes new proposals and clarifies existing national advice and recommendations:
- All universities, colleges, vocational training institutes and the like should use digital learning whenever possible.
- All middle and upper secondary schools should switch to digital education whenever possible.
- Avoid all unnecessary travel in and out of the country.
- Home office for anyone who has the opportunity to do so.
- Shopping malls and stores should have number restrictions so that distance can be maintained.
- Philosophy meetings should be conducted digitally.
- For outdoor skiing, skating, etc., it should be possible to keep a good distance.
Schools and kindergartens
The Norwegian Health Directorate offers the following proposals for coordinated municipal / regional measures for educational establishments, schools and kindergartens:

- Assess whether primary and lower secondary schools and kindergartens should follow the guidance for the “red level” where there is high infection pressure.
- Consider recommending stores and outlets to postpone sales until February.
- Consider the requirement to wear a mask in a public place where it is not possible to maintain a distance of at least one meter.
- Evaluate the request for a home office where possible where there is high infection pressure.
- Consider orders to shut down services one-to-one where there is high infection pressure.
- Consider orders to close the operation of gyms, bingo, swimming pools where there is a high pressure of infection.
