A man in his 50s was killed when the car he was driving collided with a wheel loader in Tillerbruveien alongside Flotten in Trondheim on Tuesday afternoon. It is currently unclear what happened before the collision.
Police are now working to question witnesses to form a picture of the course of events.

More interrogations
– We will question several witnesses who saw the vehicles just before the accident or who arrived at the scene of the accident after the collision, says the head of the investigation section in the district of the Gauldal police station, Per Christian Stokke.
It says police are not aware of any witnesses to the crash itself.
– If anyone has seen something, we will contact them, says Stokke.

Police were notified of the accident at 3:21 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The crash site is on a bend in Tillerbruvegen, between Bratsberg and Tiller.

Witness testified
On Tuesday night, Geir Langås, head of police investigation at the Felles criminal case desk, stated that a person had testified as a witness in connection with the accident.
Stokke claims that this witness is among those who saw the vehicles just before the accident or arrived at the scene shortly after.
The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority and the Norwegian Accident Investigation Board were routinely notified of the accident, as one of those involved is a professional driver.

They have not questioned the driver of the wheel loader.
All emergency services were dispatched to the traffic accident and the road was closed for many hours after the accident.
The driver of the wheel loader was a man in his 20s. He was taken to St. Olav Hospital after the accident, but is not said to have suffered any physical injuries.
Stokke says Thursday that it has not yet been possible to question the man. Feels heavy after the accident, informs Adresseavisen.
