The case is being updated.

– After extensive testing over the weekend, infection was detected in 13 people who had been guests of the Napolitana restaurant in Malvik, the municipality writes in a press release on Sunday evening.

Several of these cases became known on Saturday. The infected have been to the restaurant on various dates.

Quarantine regardless of test result

– This means that everyone who has been a guest of the restaurant in the period from December 26 to 30 must complete the 10-day quarantine regardless of the result of the test, indicates the municipality.

If you have been in the restaurant for several days, you must be quarantined for ten days from the last visit.

– The quarantine requirement applies to all people who have been in the restaurant for more than 15 minutes. Guests who have only picked up or received food to go are not affected by the quarantine requirement, emphasizes the municipal chief doctor, Realf Ording Helgesen.

All restaurant employees are also under quarantine.

The municipality has struggled with infection tracing work after the outbreak.

The follow-up in this case is demanding because there have been no registered guests on the site. So we are completely dependent on the media to inform the locals that there has been an infection at the site. We will continue to do so in the future, City Manager Carl-Jakob Midtun told Adresseavisen on Saturday.
