Prince Carl Philip (41) and Princess Sofia (36) have had their third child. This is stated by the Swedish royal family in a press release.
The press release claims that the prince and princess had a son who was born on Friday morning at Danderyds hospital. The newborn child weighs 3,220 grams and is 49 centimeters long.
Carl Philip was present during the birth.

The news of the family increase came just a week after it was confirmed that the Swedish prince and princess had been diagnosed with a crown infection. Therefore, Princess Sofia was ill during some parts of the pregnancy.
“The prince and princess show signs of mild flu symptoms, but they are fine under the circumstances. Immediately after being diagnosed with the disease, the prince and princess were quarantined at home with their two children,” it was said in the press release at that time.
