TV 2 will follow Märtha (49) both at work and in private.

The television channel promises a documentary series that offers “a unique encounter with a warm and multifaceted person like you have never seen before.”

Viewers will reportedly get a closer look at work and private life activities.

– I am a public person and the press writes a lot about me. This series is an opportunity to show my life in a different and new way, says Märtha in a press release via TV 2.

The princess also emphasizes that it has been important to her that there is no television series that pursues sensations.

– I can open up in front of the camera, but I am also concerned with honesty, and that does not contribute to speculating about myself and my life.

She notes that 2020 has been a demanding year for the family, after Princess Ari Behn’s ex-husband took his own life on Christmas Day last year. This is something that she and the couple’s three daughters are heavily influenced by.

– The most important thing I do is be present for my daughters. We are a grieving family, and we have also become very isolated, like most of the others in Norway. So we’ve just started recording, says Märtha.

Earlier this year, Märtha had to live a long distance relationship with her new boyfriend, Durek Verrett (45), as a result of coronary restrictions.

The couple, who unveiled the relationship in May last year, recently saw each other again for the first time in six months. On the occasion of Märtha’s birthday on September 22, Verrett was finally able to visit Norway. Still here.

TV 2 confirms to VG that both the girlfriend and the daughters appear in the documentary series.

– Märtha has done it and is still filming it in contexts where she is with the kids and Durek Verrett, says show editor Kathrine Haldorsen.

In August last year, Princess Märtha decided that she would no longer use the title of princess in a commercial context. The next series will be titled “Märtha”.

TV 2 is proud to present Märtha in this way

– Princess Märtha is a person we think we know and about whom many have strong opinions. So it’s very nice that she has now agreed to share her life with viewers, says Haldorsen.

– We know better a princess who goes her own way, he adds.

Silence about money

What Märtha receives in performance fees, the channel will not.

– We do not comment on the content of our contracts, Haldorsen tells VG.

VG couldn’t get a comment from Märtha.

– We have no further comment and refer to the press release, says Carina Scheele Carlsen, the princess’s secretary, to VG.

Bergen-based production company Mothership produces the series. “Märtha” will be released next year.
