The porn site has decided to make big changes.

Pornhub has recently received massive criticism and serious accusations, after journalist Nicholas Kristof in the New York Times in early December wrote a full article about the porn site.

He writes that they have made money from both child rape, revenge porn, and videos taken with a spy camera, through videos uploaded to the website.

It was also previously known that a mother found her teenage daughter on pornhub, after she disappeared in the summer of 2018, and a video of abuse of a 14-year-old girl was found on the website.

In Kristof’s article, women who unintentionally ended up on the porn site were also interviewed.

Impossible to keep track

The website allows users to upload their own videos. The American journalist pointed out in the case in the New York Times that it was impossible for both Pornhub and others to get an overview of how much content on the pages was illegal.

Users can also download videos, which means that abusive video that is deleted can still be stored on users’ computers.

Now, however, the porn site has chosen to make changes to overcome these problems. On their website, they write that in April this year they hired experts to help them find ways to remove all illegal content from pages.

make changes

Furthermore, they write that they are now making major changes. This means, among other things, that it will no longer be possible to download content from your pages.

Additionally, only verified users will be able to upload content, and they, through what they call a “fingerprint technology,” will be able to tag videos in a way that allows them to prevent previously deleted videos from being uploaded. Up again.

Also, it is said, they expand the work sparingly on the website.

All of these changes were requested by Kristof.

– These girls risked so much to tell their stories; I hope you read, share and talk, Kristof concluded the New York Times article.

Pornhub responded by pointing out that it was irresponsible and false to claim that they allow videos of children, but therefore make new changes to avoid illegal material.
