On Saturday, the nominating committee wanted to put the founder of the party as leader.

A majority on the party’s nominating committee agreed to reject Myrhol in favor of Cecilie Lyngby of Oslo and nominate Myrhol as deputy leader.

– Not relevant, was the response to Myrhol at the time, and he told NRK that he was surprised and critical of the process surrounding Lyngby’s nomination as leader.

Myrhol also said that it was completely inappropriate for him to sit on the central board if he was not re-elected as leader.

Solution Saturday night

On Sunday, the party sought to elect two party leaders to create calm in the party. The election took place after the acclamation after a unanimous electoral committee agreed to this.

Myrhol tells Stavanger Aftenblad that the solution arrived on Saturday night.

– We are the same, but I am the political leader, she will be the president of the administrative board. All were chosen by acclamation, Frode Myrhol tells NRK.

– I think we have found a solution that will help the party to get stronger, he believes.

However, he repeats the criticisms about the way this has happened.

– What I have criticized is that this was so close to the national meeting. I have said that if we had had an open debate on this issue, there would have been no problem. I have also said that I had lived well with all the results, but I think this result is the best for the match, says Myrhol.

– You need two party leaders

Lyngby says this about the party that now has two party leaders:

– It is a great honor for me that the National Assembly wanted me as the leader of the party. As soon as I get home to Oslo, I will roll up my sleeves and launch even stronger in the election campaign for our voters. While some people love toll roads, we at FNB cannot tolerate this dangerous and unfair tax, says the newly elected leader.

The Toll Party was one of the winners of last year’s local elections, but has lost many voters recently. Several of the local teams have also been closed.

– Frode and I have worked very well together for almost two years, and I think that the FNB, as a newly created party, needs two party leaders, one in Oslo and one in Stavanger, he says.
