Idar Vollvik is still in police custody after he was arrested Tuesday on charges of violating the law on medical equipment.
Police believe that the rape is intentional and that it is a deliberate mislabeling of the bandage. Vollvik does not admit criminal guilt, his defender declared Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, the businessman is in new interrogations with the police.
– This morning there will be a new interrogation of Vollvik. It will likely continue throughout the day, says police attorney Sigrid Sulland in the West Police District.
For the sake of the investigation, the police attorney does not want to say anything about whether there are more defendants in the case.
Sulland says it has not yet been decided whether the police will request custody of Vollvik.
– This is an assessment that we do on an ongoing basis based on the risk of missing evidence in the case, says the police attorney.
As Vollvik was arrested on Tuesday morning, he must be released on Thursday morning if he is not presented for imprisonment.
– Does Vollvik cooperate with the police?
– The arrest went smoothly, he has been under interrogation for several hours and today he appears for a new interrogation, says Sulland.
Vollvik defender Einar Råen has so far not responded to E24’s questions on Wednesday.
