On the advice of neighbors, the police entered a building shortly after midnight not far from the Greenland Police Station in central Oslo.
First, a soccer party with 22 participants was interrupted. Police describe it as a private event in a kind of clubhouse where a soccer game was shown.
All 22 were reported for violating infection control rules.
Operations leader Line Skott in the Oslo police district tells NTB that there may be more of us at the party.
– What is this, we have not been able to clarify completely. There were very likely more people present than these 22, but many were standing outside a door when we arrived, says Skott.
Soon after, the police discovered another party in another rental room on the same floor above in the same city hall.
There were about 23 people present. They were also reported for violations of infection control rules, reports the operations center.
Rental premises
Both cities appear separate and independent rental premises from each other, according to police.
– But the place is crowded, so here people have a closed seat. In one of the towns, food and drink were sold, without a service license, so here we will contact the municipality’s Business Administration, says the operations leader.
There was no rare alcohol at the two events.
More parties in other cities
In Mosjøen, Nordland, the police broke up a private party with 12 participants at two o’clock last night.
Several other cities, including Kristiansand, Tvedestrand and Honningsvåg, have the police at private parties and ask people to calm down. Police have not declared whether any of these parties have violated infection control regulations.
Several cities have police and controlled bars, among others in Narvik and Mosjøen, regarding infection control rules. In both cities, the police have made comments, especially about how many guests were present at the venue.
