Police wrote in a press release at 9:41 a.m. Wednesday that several people were missing after the landslide, but wrote in a correction at 10 o’clock that so far no one has been reported missing.
– Emergency services have great resources in the area and work to evacuate landslide-prone residents, evacuate people in danger zones, and get an overview of missing persons. Several people were injured and flown to the hospital, police write.
– Police currently have no missing persons reports, but we are working on the basis that this may change as emergency services gain a better overview.

You cannot exclude missing persons
Task leader Roger Pettersen confirms that people may be within the area of the landslide.
– There are those who may not get theirs. This does not mean that they are missing. For now, we have no information that anyone has died from this incident here, Pettersen says.
– We cannot confirm that someone is missing there. But we keep that opportunity open, he says.

Dramatic conversations
So far only helicopters have been able to reach the furthest part of the area and the police have not been able to conduct a search on foot for their own safety.
– We keep searching and searching. It’s challenging because we’re not allowed to send crews on foot into the inner portion of the landslide area due to safety, says Pettersen.
– We receive reports that buildings, roofs, structures have collapsed. We have received messages from desperate people who have called the emergency number and said that the whole house is in motion and that they are under shingles and insulation. There are dramatic reports and the incident is extremely serious, says Pettersen.
The Dagbladet reporter at the scene says the landslide took over another home Wednesday morning.
The landslide is still moving, says the task leader.
– We do not rule out that there may be some minor landslides. But geologists are close to this.
The police have sounded a disaster alarm and put all available resources at work.
Currently, they do not have an overview of how many housing units have been affected by the landslide.
