Prosecutor Sigrid Sulland met with the press in front of the police station at 4:40 p.m. She tells Bergens Tidende that they believe this is an intentional violation, meaning that the mislabeling has been deliberately done.
Interrogations of the defendant Idar Vollvik have just been completed, confirms the prosecutor Sulland in the West Police District to E24. You don’t want to go into what was said during the questioning.
– We have several other interrogations with witnesses that we assume have knowledge of the marking of the bandages, the sale and what has happened around the case, he adds.
– Could there be more arrests in the case in the near future?
– It is still early in the investigation, but we have no plans to make any more arrests as of now.

– Possibly a misunderstanding
– Vollvik has been on a lengthy interrogation today that began at eight o’clock early today. He does not feel any criminal responsibility for what happened, says lawyer Einar Råde, who represents Vollvik before E24.
The defender says that the founder of the series has explained in detail about his business.
– When the police get into the charge, it seems like it may be a matter of a party he bought in Norway, says Råde.
He explains that Vollvik recently bought a batch from another Norwegian importer, and that these are the ones he has had problems with. The lawyer says this is not something that Vollvik has known about, but that it may be a misunderstanding.
– He wants to cooperate with the police and, in my opinion, he has answered the questions they have asked him, says Råde.

Arrested after a raid
On Tuesday morning, the police entered the Vollvik facility in Minde in Bergen. Around the same time, he was arrested.
– We have been in three different directions. What we are mainly looking for is a mouthpiece, because we have information that incorrect labeling of the masks should be possible, says Sulland, who confirms that charges have been brought against Vollvik.
The charge concerns violation of the Medical Device Act. The penalty for violating this law in particularly aggravating circumstances is two years in prison.
