In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Eide writes that he is “deeply critical” of the way the nominating committee and the Oslo SV administration have worked.
“Since the nominating committee completely removed me from the list in its first draft, it was clear that many reacted to the committee’s lack of understanding that we must have a broadly composed team, also in terms of age and experience. Many SVs with a long career they now experience that their core problems and their expertise are not valued, “Eide writes.
He says he has received many inquiries from upset SV members at the party bases.
“Many say that now they want to resign because they no longer recognize their own party. They use words like ‘angry, frustrated and furious’ and experience that life experience is no longer something that is needed in SV, ”Eide writes.
“We have to work on the generational division created by the nominating committee and the management of Oslo SV,” he continues.
Eide is sitting in the Storting today. He fought for third place on the Oslo SV list for the 2021 elections, but lost to former SU leader Andreas Sjalg Unneland (26).
