– The messages that reached us were that it was a bloody person who was going from Brugata to Storgata. When we checked him, we were able to confirm that he was stabbed multiple times in the body, operations manager Sven Christian Lie at the Oslo police tells NTB.
He does not want to delve any further into the site of the body that stabbed the man, but was taken to the emergency room in Oslo for treatment in the first instance, before being sent to Ullevål hospital.
– He was transported to the ER because it was the closest, and he himself was on his way there and, says Lie.
Task leader Svend Bjelland claims that the man who was stabbed must not be mortally wounded.
The incident took place in an area where there were many people, and the police are now in the process of questioning witnesses at the scene and have started a search for the perpetrator.
– We have not contacted witnesses who have seen the incident itself, but we are questioning people who may have seen something in the area. It must have happened on the street, says task leader Bjelland.
On Twitter, the Oslo police write that the perpetrator must be dark-skinned and wear dark clothing.
