One person has been fined 10,000 kronor after organizing a party in Oslo with more than ten guests.

Police moved to the apartment on the night of Friday, November 6, following a report of noise and a large number of participants in the party.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found several people who were in the apartment and who were about to leave. There were more than 10 people at the party, that is, more than allowed by the Infection Control Law.

The police reported the matter and now the organizer of the match has to pay 10,000 kronor for breaking the law.

– The police can also prosecute participants in such a meeting, and is now working further to identify those who have been present at the party in question, writes the Oslo police district in a press release.

They add that they collaborate with the municipality, and above all they will monitor and disseminate where the health authorities see that the infection is greater.

Police experience that orders are largely followed; have people stay home and wear masks.

– We hope that the good effort of the inhabitants of the police district will continue, so that contagion rates are reduced and the police can take advantage of the time to combat crime in general, they write more.

The number of corona patients admitted to Norway is now at the highest level since April:

Police across the country have recently stepped up their efforts to crack down on violations of the Communicable Disease Act. The background is the sharp increase in infection.

On Friday, Justice Minister Monica Mæland and Police Director Benedicte Bjørnland vowed to crack down on infection control violations and threatened fines and prison.

58 municipalities in Norway now have an increasing trend of infection, according to VG’s corona summary.
