Parking, Parking well | Bjørn (77) was fined NOK 600

– I’ve been standing there for years, says Bjørn Kleppe (77).

OSLO / ASKER (Nettavisen Økonomi): On November 13, Bjørn Kleppe parked at his usual spot at the local Rema store in Nesbru in Asker. After staying there for five minutes, he was fined 600 crowns.

– It wasn’t marked where I was, and I’ve been there for years, Kleppe tells Nettavisen.

On-site parking is managed by the private parking company P-Service.

Kleppe prefers to stand on the outside of a fence, having experienced dents within the designated parking area. But there is no parking sign stating that you cannot park there.

– There is a green zone outside and there are signs indicating that you can stand for three hours for free when you enter the zone. And then there is a large area that is just gravel. There are many standing there, and I prefer to be by the fence. I am tired of having dents.

Without brand

– Why did you complain?

– There is no mark there. Many have been there before and I have been there many times. Then all of a sudden they pay a fine! They should probably have some extra income before Christmas.

The note shows that Kleppe was stationed on November 13 from 2:25 PM to 2:30 PM.

– I don’t think the police will do anything about it, but I got a good response from them.

P-Service did not respond to questions from Asker and Bærum Budstikke, who brought up the case for the first time. The newspaper quotes a letter to Kleppe, based on the complaint, in which they write:

“You have parked in a regulated area with designated / marked spaces. You have been parked on the site outside of the designated / marked space. Then you have been parked in violation of the parking provision – parking investigator. § 24 (1) or conditions parking. »

P-Service rejects fraud and claims that the signage and rules on the site are clear. Rema 1000 Nesbru does not want to comment on the Budstikka case. Abel Eiendomsforvaltning, responsible for the building and outdoor areas, has not received any complaints from customers recently, the company’s Marius Geirdal reports to Budstikka.

Fine removed the same day

The same day Nettavisen spoke to Kleppe, we called P-Service and presented Kleppe’s case.

Haavard Lehre, CEO of P-Service, picks up the phone. Receive the registration number, review the case and immediately send a happy message to Bjørn Kleppe:

– Today the fine has been eliminated, says Lehre.

– Why, was it not parked incorrectly anyway?

– It is parked incorrectly, outside the designated place. But this fine has been lifted due to messages from the farm owner that we should not check them outside of designated locations, but only at handicapped locations, Lehre says.

– Incredibly fun

When Nettavisen calls and tells him that the ticket has been lifted, Kleppe is shocked:

– Is that so? I didn’t know, it was fun! It’s amazing what happens when the press writes about things. Parking ban is not checked so it was a lot of fun. Thanks for the information, then I will remove the payment from the online bank immediately.
