Hans Erik Ødegaard was the last coach of the Strømsgodset G19 team and previously worked as an assistant coach with Vegard Hansen in Mjøndalen (2009-2014).

In addition, he was coach of the Real Madrid quarry when his son Martin Ødegaard signed for the club for the first time.

– I appreciate your trust. I have wanted to play soccer full time for a long time. It has not been possible for work reasons, but now it is. Sandefjord is a perfect club for me. I myself have played here and there are many of the same people here now, it is a sign of quality, says Hans Erik Ødegaard at the press conference.

– It is not entirely fortunate that so many players finish their contract at the same time. But we hope to include many of them. We present the plan to you these days. So we hope you like what you hear and join in, Ødegaard continues.

Sweden’s Andreas Tegström played at Sandefjord in a long and active career, which in Norway also included Fredrikstad and Hønefoss. He and Ødegaard played together at Sandefjord for several seasons since 2005. Tegström comes from work as a coach for Assyriska, who is now level three in Swedish football.

– Hans Erik and Andreas are names who have long been involved in a process, says the director of Sandefjord, Espen Bugge Pettersen, at the press conference.

– We are very happy to have this constellation in place. We think they complement each other, both professionally and in terms of personality, and they know the club well, says Bugge Pettersen.

Sandefjord landed a new Elite Series contract a couple of rounds before the end. The club eventually finished 11th in the league. Cifuentes has received much praise for the work he has done at Sandefjord.
