Pangstart in Europe

Molde got off to a brilliant start to the Europa League when the team beat Dundalk 2-1 last week. Tonight, the great Austrian Rapid Wien was the opponent at the Aker Stadium.

The Moldanos played a very good game, with several occasions, and after 65 minutes they relaxed. A brilliant attack with various combinations ended with Ohi Omoijuanfo, who slipped to 1-0.

This was also the end result. Thus, both Arsenal and Molde have six points in group B. Two teams advance from the group stage.

– We control the game from start to finish. We deserved to win, Ohi tells TV 2.

– A fantastic achievement on our part. We have put ourselves in a good position to move forward, says midfielder Stian Gregersen.

Molde delivered one of his best games of the season. And this was worthy Europe. The team wanted to tell guests early on who the boss was at Aker Stadium. Ola Brynhildsen stunned a ball into goal in the 10th minute.

Both Brynhildsen and Ohi stood out throughout the match. And in the middle of the second part the score came.

The goal came after a great attack that was rolled by the left wing. Martin Ellingsen found Kristoffer Haugen, who hit the ball hard and low in front of the goal. Ohi was in his place.

The cut in joy was that Eirik Hestad was injured before the goal, in a clash with goalkeeper Paul Gartler. He was bleeding from his leg and had to go out on a stretcher.

Stian Gregersen was good for Molde in central defense. The same was, no less important, Magnus Wolff Eikrem in midfield.

– It was on a separate level, said TV 2 expert Mina Finstad Berg live.

Rapid Wien is second in the Austrian series, behind RB Salzburg. In the second group match, Arsenal beat Dundalk 3-0.

Arsenal and Molde will meet at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday of next week.
