Raufoss – Tromsø (1-0) 1-1

The case is updated with reactions!

Tromsø descended from the Eliteserien last year, but it only took one attempt to recover.

Because with 1-1 against Raufoss, the promotion was a given, two rounds before the end.

A pearl free-kick from Ruben Yttergård Jenssen in extra time ensured “Gutan” took a point away against Raufoss.

– It’s delicious. It has been a long year with a lot of pressure and a lot has happened. It has been a movie in itself. 2020 is also the club’s anniversary year, so it’s special for everyone with a heart in Tromsø, Yttergård Jenssen tells TV 2.

– I rate this highly. A lot has happened and the way we have stayed together as a club is fantastic. It means a lot now that Bodø / Glimt takes the gold. So it would have been very good to be in Obos, concludes the Tromsø player.

Beer and burger menu

Although the promotion is assured, the team will have to wait for the big celebration.

How are you going to celebrate this?

– There’s a roadside inn around here, so there’ll probably be a burger menu and some beer, then I’m probably on the plane wearing a mask. So there won’t be so many festivities today, but we will have time to catch up, says Simen Søraunet Wangberg.

Tromsø had plenty of chances in the first half, but it was Raufoss who got the recognition online when Matias Belli Moldskred converted a Ryan Doghman post into goal.

The lead was held until the break for Raufoss, thanks in large part to good play by Ole goalkeeper Kristian Lauvli, who already avoided a big chance after five minutes when Mikael Ingebrigtsen was left alone.

Raufoss is fighting for a qualifying spot and is one point behind Sandnes Ulf in sixth place.
