In October last year, the man was reported for sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy online after his mother found out they had had contact, writes TV 2.

A year and a half earlier, in February 2018, NCECC, a Canadian organization to combat cyberbullying against children, alerted Norwegian police to the man.

Kripos did not seek the information, but in December of the same year they received a new message, this time from a US organization, and the man was arrested on November 20 of last year.

In total, about 21,500 media files with child abuse associated with the man were found.

He also took pictures of the children at the school where he worked and on several occasions secretly photographed students in the shower in connection with swimming lessons and shared the pictures with others.

The man has been sentenced in the Oslo District Court to two years and six months in prison for the images, the abusive material and the online assaults on the 14-year-old boy.

– The sentence is strict, but he wants to leave this behind and that is why he does not want to appeal, says the human rights defender, the lawyer Marte Svarstad Brodtkorb.
