On Tuesday, the Oslo man was arrested by police outside his home in the capital and charged with cyberbullying.

– This is extensive cyberbullying, and we have a fairly large identification job ahead of us, as it deals with a good number of children, says police lawyer Christian Hatlo in the Oslo police district to VG.

Police have seized a series of electronic seizures in the case, including photos and videos. The material will now be sewn in relation to the identification work.

Acknowledge the blame

The police lawyer states that they are probably both Norwegian and foreign children, both boys and girls. Some of the children must be under the age of 16.

– While the most serious conditions apply to children under 14, says Hatlo, who does not want to comment on whether the Oslo man downloaded the material or produced the abuse material himself.

He is also charged with possession of abusive material.

– In which forums have you operated?

– I do not want to comment on that, replies the lawyer for the police.

Hatlo also does not want to comment on how the police settled the criminal case.

The Oslo man in his 20s was presented for custody at the Oslo District Court on Thursday. The court decided to imprison the man for four weeks with a ban on receiving letters and visits.

– He is a collaborator and has pleaded guilty, says the police lawyer.

According to information from VG, the man from Oslo works as an assistant teacher at a school in the capital, but there is nothing to indicate that he abused students at the school or used his working hours for online abuse.

The defendant’s defense attorney, attorney Ø vivos Østberg, did not respond to VG’s questions on Thursday.
