About 400 nursing home residents are expected to receive the first dose of the coronary vaccine over Christmas. The selected nursing homes have not yet been revealed.

Monday night came the news that Helge Jagmann had been waiting for. The director of the nursing home in Oslo felt well prepared when the first corona vaccine was approved for use in Norway.

– We are in control. We have worked hard and structured with this, so we are ready to put the first dose.

Since the coronavirus arrived in Norway, there have been 39 deaths and several outbreaks in nursing homes in the capital.

Jagmann now hopes to begin vaccinating the elderly. He has a plan for the first doses to arrive in Norway on December 26. Only one thing can shake it.
