A man in his 50s is charged with possession of huge amounts of abusive material. The man has served as a substitute in more than 50 kindergartens, writes NRK.

The man is also accused of having raped a boy under the age of 14. The assault allegedly took place in the late 1990s and therefore for so long that the police fear that he may not be convicted for it.

At the man’s apartment in Oslo, the police made one of the largest seizures in history, according to NRK. Among other things, they found up to 1.5 million files with abuse material.

The man has worked as a substitute in more than 50 kindergartens in Oslo. The police are investigating whether he may have abused the children in these kindergartens and have been in contact with the kindergartens and the staffing company for which he has worked.

– We cannot rule out anything, but so far we have not found evidence of it. This is something we are still working on, but we consider it unlikely to have happened, police investigator Stian Riple tells NRK.
