Ørjan Solum (24) was found dead in the Steinsås mines in Arendal in May. According to the autopsy report, the probable cause of death is drowning. There are no suspects in the case.

The police do not want to rule out whether the death is due to something criminal, suicide or accident. The investigation is ongoing in collaboration with Kripos.
Solum, then 24, was last seen in a nearby residential area on March 25.
Police launched a search of the Steinsås mines on Monday, June 18, and the next day found a dead man underwater. The mines were a natural place to look as they are located close to where Solum was last seen.
