The dead person is an elderly person, and death is the first due to covid-19 at St. Olav’s hospital in Trondheim.
The hospital reported the death Thursday and does not want to provide further information.
Also at Oslo University Hospital, a person infected with the crown died on Thursday, the hospital says on its website.
Two died in Trøndelag
The coronavirus confirmed the deaths of two people in Trøndelag.
In early April, a man in his 80s died at the Havsteinekra Health and Wellness Center in Trondheim.
Now only one person is hospitalized with the coronavirus at St. Olav’s Hospital, and he is in the intensive care unit.
This is reported by the NRK Director of Communications at St. Olav Hospital, Marit Kvikne.
The hospitalized patients have been elderly patients.
A total of 32 patients have been admitted to the hospital since March 9. These have been from the 1950s to the 1980s, says the hospital.
There have been no new admissions since April 7.
– We have now sharpened readiness, where we conduct activity towards normal operation, while ensuring readiness considering that things can change rapidly during the pandemic, Kvikne told NRK.
On Thursday, the municipality of Trondheim announced five new people infected with the coronavirus. Everyone should have a mild course of illness. A total of 285 people who tested positive for covid-19 have been recorded in Trondheim.
In Trøndelag, a total of 472 people are registered with covid-19 as of Wednesday, April 29, according to NTB.
