On Friday, Norwegian CEO Jacob Schram sent a letter to employees on Linkedin social media. In the letter, he writes that the company is likely to maintain only a few flights in Norway until March 2021.
Thousands of employees who have been banned from Norwegian’s email and computer system receive notification in the letter that they can voluntarily sign up for a “talent pool” where those who can obtain information on future developments and be contacted if the company recruits again.
Impressive debate
Under the Norwegian manager’s Linkedin profile, a heated debate ensued after the letter was published, NRK writes.
A British woman who previously worked as a cabin crewman comments in the post saying that the company’s behavior is “disrespectful to all its UK employees who still don’t know what will happen to them.”
Schram writes, among other things, in his answer:
– If you are not satisfied with what we do, I suggest you find another airline to work for.
The Norwegian chief’s response was published last night and was removed early today, NRK writes.
sad
No one in Norwegian has wanted to interview NRK, but Schram comments on the matter in an email to NRK:
“I deleted a text that I think might be offensive, that was never the point.”
“My clear message that I have communicated to everyone in Norwegian is that it is heartbreaking that so many excellent colleagues lose their jobs or have been laid off. It is brutal, but we have to face reality. There is no safe haven for any of us. “(Terms)Copyright Dagens Næringsliv AS and / or our suppliers.
