The Chief of Defense has decided that three of Norway’s four large warships will not be allowed to sail. During January 2021, it will be decided if they can continue the activity as before. If the crews have the necessary competence. If the equipment works. If the routines for the unexpected have been learned.

The weaknesses of the Navy were revealed with the KNM Helge Ingstad accident in November 2018. Last week, Aftenposten claimed that a group of naval officers claimed the problem was greater.
