RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann (33) told a press conference on Thursday that Alexander Sørloth (24) will probably not start his first game for the club.
– He may enter, but hardly from the beginning, says Nagelsmann at the press conference.
On Tuesday, Alexander Sørloth was confirmed ready for RB Leipzig after a long period of speculation.
But in Saturday’s game against Bayer Leverkusen, he will not make his debut from the start, we must believe coach Nagelsmann.
– Alex hasn’t trained in two or three weeks and it’s a risk to take. You don’t even know all the names of your classmates. So a lot must happen during the next two days. With me too, also with him, explains the technician.
At the press conference, Nagelsmann was also asked what Sørloth brings to the team:
– It is important that we have a physical presence, especially against entrenched opponents. Alex gives it to us. Good rhythm, good shot with both feet. He can play as the sole striker and also with a forward partner, he says and continues:
– It’s more physical. It gets dark if it gets between you and the sun. He comes very confident after last season. I hope he scores us one or another goal in the Bundesliga.

Sørloth has been on loan from Crystal Palace to Turkish Trabzonspor for the past year. Trønderen has had great success in Turkey with 33 goals in the cup and series.
With Sørloth in eastern Germany, Norway has two forwards on the top Bundesliga teams. Erling Braut Haaland and his Borussia Dortmund visit Augsburg on Saturday at 3.30pm. Both Dortmund and Leipzig won the first matches of the season in the last round.
