By the end of February, Norway will receive 67,000 doses of this vaccine, writes VG.

In total, Norway has a 1.9 million dose deal, if the vaccine is approved.

– There are still some questions that Moderna must answer. The official schedule is yet to be approved on Wednesday. Today we tried to be ready, but the experts need answers to their questions, Richard Bergstrøm tells VG.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA), which is processing the application for approval, will continue its meetings tomorrow.

The medical committee was already scheduled to meet on Wednesday, a meeting that was accelerated from January 12. The EU is expected to approve the new vaccine. It must also be formally approved by the European Commission before it can be used.

On Friday, Sweden’s vaccine coordinator Richard Bergström said the vaccine’s evaluation had been quicker than expected, according to NTB.

He then indicated an approval Monday morning with the approval of the commission a few hours later. The latest EMA update points to a decision at the end of the day.
