Heavy work pressure, many overtime hours and unpredictable working hours have created frustration among employees on the job after the reorganization, writes Fri Fagbevegelse.

Posten information manager Kenneth Pettersen says that prior to the reorganization, they made plans for all units for new operating arrangements and new staff. The change in staffing needs is now due to the new shopping pattern for Norwegian postal customers, such as the increase in online shopping and package mail.

– The combination of these things resulted in several units, sadly, not being adequately staffed, says Pettersen.

– The result was that several employees have experienced that the workload has become too great. We regret that many of our employees have experienced too much pressure and reach over a period of time.

He says they work in collaboration with shop stewards to come up with good work plans, adequate staffing, and hiring new employees.
