The episode in which the woman got into the gutter occurred on Thursday afternoon. The woman did not stop despite repeated requests from the police. Then finally a nail mat was laid on which the car passed. After this, the woman drove down the road.
The woman was transferred to the Telemark Hospital in Skien, but the injuries after the descent were not serious. Kripos and the Special Police Affairs Unit were notified to assess whether an investigative case against the police should be opened.
On Friday, Telemark’s prosecutor in the southeastern police district, Guro Siljan, informed NTB that the Bureau of Investigation will not follow up on the case further.
– The case against the police is not followed up because there is no suspicion of a criminal act on the part of our employees and because there were no serious injuries, says Siljan.
The woman in the car, on the other hand, is accused of driving while intoxicated and violating the precautionary rules of the Traffic Law.
