The US Department of Justice has found no evidence of widespread electoral fraud that would have changed the outcome of the presidential elections.

This is confirmed by Justice Minister William Barr in an interview with the AP news agency on Tuesday.
– To date, we have not seen cheating to an extent that could have affected another election result, Barr says.
Shortly after the interview was published, Barr was observed on his way to the White House.
President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed without evidence that the November 3 election was “stolen.” Although his lawyers have lost repeated lawsuits, Trump still refuses to admit defeat after Joe Biden won the presidential election.
Investigated by the FBI
Barr says the US attorney’s office and the FBI have investigated specific allegations and information they have received in the wake of the elections. It has not led to any evidence that changes the outcome of the elections.
Barr has been one of Trump’s most loyal allies. Before the election, the Minister of Justice repeatedly indicated that votes by mail would be particularly vulnerable to electoral fraud during the pandemic.
Controversial note
In November, Barr ordered federal state prosecutors across the country to investigate all “factual allegations” of election wrongdoing, if any, before approving the election results. That memo allowed prosecutors to circumvent long-standing Justice Department guidelines, which normally leave such investigations to states before election results are approved.
The head of the Justice Department investigation into election-related crimes reacted vigorously and resigned as a result of Barr’s note.
Lose in court
Trump’s election campaign apparatus has asserted without evidence that Democrats are behind an extensive conspiracy to block millions of illegal votes in the system. Under the leadership of Rudy Giuliani, the election campaign apparatus has faced a series of lawsuits in the tipping states. The lawsuits have been repeatedly rejected, also by Republican judges. The United States National Election Commission has also rejected the cheating allegations.
However, Trump’s attorneys are continuing their efforts to prevent Biden’s victory from being officially confirmed by the House of Representatives on December 14.
At the same time, the Trump camp is getting more and more money from supporters. According to the New York Times, NOK 1.5 billion has come in since Election Day.
Giuliani fires Barr
“With due respect to the Attorney General, there has not been the slightest investigation by the Justice Department,” Trump’s attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis said in a statement after the AP interview with Barr.
– We will continue to search for the truth through the judiciary and the state assemblies, they add.
In the interview, Barr says there are cases that must be handled through civil trials, which some people try to turn into federal criminal cases. It can be interpreted as a criticism of some Trump supporters, but Barr does not name any.
– There is a growing trend to use the criminal justice system as a sort of fixer for everything possible, and when people don’t like something, they want the Justice Ministry to “investigate,” Barr said.
Biden i gang
The Justice Minister also rejects the accusations of “systemic cheating” by manipulating the voting machines and says the ministry has seen nothing to substantiate that accusation.
It appears to be referring to the accusations by former Trump attorney Sidney Powell, who, among other things, has also made bizarre accusations that former Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez ordered the development of a system of electoral fraud. Chávez died in 2013.
Although Trump still refuses to publicly admit that he lost to Biden, his administration recently gave the green light to begin the transition period for the incoming president.
Biden won the presidential election with 306 delegates to Trump’s 232.
So far, Trump has lost about 40 election-related lawsuits and won one, according to lawyers for Democrats following the cases.
