The case is being updated.

Four days after the government lifted the entry quarantine for Jämtland in Sweden, the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) now recommends that the region go red again.

According to NIPH, Jämtland had 26 coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents on September 7, while the limit to be exempt from quarantine is 20 cases.

Effective saturday night

“It is the government that decides during the week what type of entry quarantine will be applied. The changes will take effect from midnight until Saturday, September 12, “FHI writes in a press release Monday.

In addition, they recommend that Örebro also go from yellow to red, in addition to the southern regions of Denmark in Denmark and Kainuu in Finland.

The NIPH also recommends the introduction of entry quarantine for Hungary and Slovakia, which have an infection rate of 33.1 and 23.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively.

Border trade

Last Saturday, people from Trøndelag were able to travel to Storlien or Åre again to shop for the first time since the border closing in March, without having to be quarantined upon returning home.

On the same day, however, 15 new cases of infection were recorded in the region, which meant that it again approached the limit of how many infected people a yellow region can have.

In any case, the government recommends avoiding all unnecessary trips abroad. To clarify this, the countries and regions that were in green on the map were turned yellow.
