The case is being updated.

On Wednesday, the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) released an overview further reinforcing the advice on distance and testing.

Among other things, it is recommended that all close contacts be screened, and quarantined adults should be kept away from other adults in the home.

At the same time, stricter advice for contact with others is introduced.

The new recommendations are as follows:

  • You and your loved ones can get along normally. “Your loved ones” are those with whom you live and your girlfriend. Those who live alone may also have two or three loved ones to be physically close to. It should be the same over time.
  • Stay one meter away from anyone other than your loved ones. Face-to-face distance is the most important. Back to back, or one after the other, as in a queue, reduces the risk of infection. When you sit next to someone, you should be one meter from your shoulder to the other person’s shoulder. Avoid physical contact, including handshake and squeezes.

Last week, 122,889 people were tested for coronavirus. The proportion of positive tests was 2.5 percent, an increase from 1.7 percent the previous week.
