The police have made new seizures in the case in which the couple Anita and Idar Vollvik are accused of violating the law on medical equipment.
Published:,
Police believe Idar Vollvik mislabelled and deliberately repackaged the bandage and the series founder in the arrest at his home Tuesday morning.
He was released from prison on Wednesday night and on both Thursday and Friday, the police have made new seizures in the case. This is confirmed by VG Police Attorney Sigrid Sulland in the West a VG Police District.
– We are working to review the seizures and electronic evidence of the case. At the same time, more witness interviews are taking place, he says.

Police: not an accident
In an interview with E24 on Friday, Vollvik says he believes it is the importer who delivered the wrong mouthpiece.
He believes the whole case is based on a “misunderstanding”. This is rejected by the police.
– We support the fact that we believe you did it on purpose. That it’s not just an accident, Sulland tells VG.
– What makes you think that you have done it with knowledge and will?
– It’s based on the evidence we have in the case, says Sulland.
Spouse accused: will not explain
Idar Vollvik’s wife, Anita Vollvik, is also charged in the case.
– So far she has not wanted to be questioned, says Sulland.
Anita Vollvik is the CEO and member of the board of the Vovi AS company, which states that they are engaged in the wholesale trade of nursing and pharmacy products. Vovi AS is wholly owned by Idar Vollvik.
– Idar Vollvik’s Vovi AS business is central to the investigation, says Sulland.

The police claim that Anita Vollvik receives legal assistance from lawyer Brynjar Meling. She tells VG the following about how she reacts to the accusation:
– I assume that the accusation is a mere procedure to examine the mobile phone and the data, then they must charge you. She denies doing anything criminal and is convinced that no criminal act has been committed in the business.
Meling has advised him not to explain himself in the case, which he justifies with the police approach to the case and refers to Tuesday’s action.
– When they choose such a line of confrontation, they get a similar line from the defender. That is why I have recommended that she not be questioned until the appropriate proportions have been given to the case, says Meling, adding:
– It goes without saying that arresting a person and keeping them in custody for a day and a half for something that keeps packing a shipment of goods is completely disproportionate, says Meling.
He does not want to comment with VG about his role in the company and stresses that the accusation is a mere formality.
– When the time comes, it will be explained to the police, so there will be a case between her and the police.
Idar Vollvik: – She is completely innocent.
In front of E24, Vollvik describes the role of his wife as follows:
– I’ve been your boss for 25 years. He has not had any executive role. All employees know it, she knows it herself and all suppliers also. She has managed and been responsible for customer service, some finances and “that’s it”. I have explained it to the police. She is completely innocent in this.
– But why is he accused then in this case?
– Because they (the police editor’s note) needed to read phones and computers and things like that. So I think so, I understood that the police were more formal to be able to seize.
– What have they seized?
– PC and mobile. We have released everything. We have nothing to hide.
VG has previously written that Vovi AS has had shipments with face masks detained at customs several times.
