New Findings of Unspoken Voices

Even quieter voices have been found in the state of Georgia. On Monday, election officials found more than 2,500 votes in Floyd County that had not been counted. On Tuesday, they found 2,775 new votes in Lafayette. The votes will not affect the outcome of the election.

Nearly 5 million votes were cast in Georgia in the presidential election, and on Friday, poll workers in the state’s 159 counties began counting votes again by hand. This is because there are only a few thousand votes that separate Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Upcoming President Joe Biden leads ahead of the new recount with 14,000 votes over President Donald Trump in Georgia. After taking into account the newly discovered votes from Floyd County and Fayette County, the margin will be about 13,000 votes in favor of Biden.

The electoral commission in the county does not know the distribution of the votes, but claims that the unofficial result of the county shows that 70 percent supported Trump, while 28.4 percent voted for Biden.

“The reason he does an audit is to find this kind of thing,” said Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s head of elections.

Says there are no major changes in other counties.

The county election commission chief Tom Rees says the votes in question are early votes that were cast in person, but that he wasn’t sure how they disappeared in the first place.
